What does “Benedic, Domine, Nos” mean?

Benedic, Domine, nos et haec tua dona, quae de tua largitate sumus sumpturi, per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

“Benedic, Domine, Nos” is actually more familiar than you might think . . . it’s Latin for “Bless us, O Lord,” and the beginning of the Blessing before Meals.

I thought it was an especially appropriate name for a blog inspired by Catholic family living (and with a nod to the Latin Mass–because, after all, it’s Latin! 😉 ) It’s a perfect example of holiness mingled with the familiar and the ordinary!
